One Day for UK is the University of Kentucky’s 24-hour online giving day, which invites all members of the UK family to support the colleges, programs or causes of their choice. Alumni, family, friends, and fans come together each year to give back and celebrate the power of the Wildcat community. We only have one day! Take a moment on April 18 to help the Arboretum grow its mission to showcase Kentucky landscapes and serve as a resource center for environmental and horticultural education, research and conservation. Our plant collections feature native species from all seven physiographic regions of the commonwealth and cultivated varieties, our gardens provide educational opportunities for everyone from curious children to longtime home gardeners, to University of Kentucky students, staff and faculty members. 

Your contribution to the Arboretum Development Fund will seed vital educational initiatives, preserve Kentucky’s native ecosystems, and create a vibrant community space for Lexington. 

Thanks to the generous support of longtime volunteer and Advisory Board member Mary Beth McCormac and her husband Ralph Goetz, they will provide a dollar-for-dollar match for the first $3,000 in gifts to support The Arboretum’s mission to showcase Kentucky’s landscapes.
