Native Foods Beyond the Eastern Agricultural Complex
- The Arboretum, State Botanical Garden of KentuckyIn recent years there has been a growing awareness of Kentucky as a center of indigenous plant domestication, but the integration of native agriculture with modern food systems remains underexplored. Agroecologist Nachie Braga of Geomancer Permaculture will provide an overview of native edible plants and perspectives on how indigenous agriculture can inform modern food systems and conservation.

Bring your garden-related items to our overflow lot at The Arboretum starting at 8:30 AM. We welcome plants (non-invasive only, please), books, tools, etc. The exchange starts at 9 AM. You do not have to bring anything to participate, there is no cost, and pre-registration is NOT REQUIRED!
