Walk leader: Rob Paratley, botanist and UK Herbarium curator

Thursday, September 12th, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm

$10 fee. Advanced registration required. 

Maximum 18 registrants for this event.

Stroll through the Mississippi Embayment section of the Walk Across Kentucky to learn about the distinctive flora that occurs in this region of the state. Attention will be given to the native trees and shrubs that thrive in the floodplain and wetland communities of Western Kentucky, including life history and special adaptations these plants have for growing in these conditions.
